Between the call to action heard and felt by many students around the crisis in Gaza, questions around academic freedom, and the increasing pressure from the specter of debilitating student debt and America's economic reality, the environment on college campuses today is at least as charged as in the days of the Vietnam war. During this critical moment in academia, the party duopoly is by and large ignoring university campuses and their students. Independent Presidential Candidate Dr Cornel West will be engaging with the hearts and minds of students so that their experiences can be a substantive part of the process on his pathway to the White House.

Students from UCI, UCR, UCSB, UCLA, Occidental and Cal State Northridge will be represented at this gathering, where each panelist will have the opportunity to engage Dr West in dialogue regarding salient policy concerns and direct experiences of university students in the region.
