Who inspires you to speak words of truth, justice, and love these days?

I am hosting a house party to celebrate the formation of the Justice for All political party in Washington state, and to support the Cornel West / Melina Abdullah presidential campaign at my home in Maltby on Saturday, August 31, from 4-7pm.

For me, the complex times in which we live require us to expand our vision of what it will take for democracy to blossom and bear good fruit in our country. No matter your political allegiance in this season, I'd love to have you attend. Come practice courageous listening and open-hearted curiosity as you get to know others who seek a better world in which we, and future generations, might live.

I'll provide some kind of picnic style main dish but would appreciate if you bring a potluck side or salad (with ingredient listing for those with allergies and sensitivities) I'll have some backyard games out to play.

We'll say hello to other parties across the nation around 5pm.

I am suggesting a $10 donation to the campaign, but please don't let this request prevent you from coming! Your presence in person will enrich the event and strengthen the roots of a diverse community in which democracy can thrive.
